All Seeing Eye
In Pursuit of Repetitive Beats is an award-winning, location-based VR experience that has toured internationally, documenting the atmosphere of the UK’s early 90s rave scene. I worked as Unity Technical Lead on both the original and multi-user versions of the project. I focused on the visual and performance foundations, developing and refining shaders, defining the lighting strategy, and building key VFX and scenes designed to make the most of mobile VR hardware, including Quest 2 and 3.
Alongside the visual work, I led QA and optimisation, profiling performance and resolving bottlenecks to keep the experience stable and responsive in a multiplayer VR context. My role bridged visual ambition with the constraints of standalone headsets, making deliberate trade-offs in shaders, lighting, and effects to deliver a strong look while staying within tight performance budgets.
